Jerome Lavigne-Delville

Jerome is an expert in global corporate sustainability and responsible investment, with over 20 years of experience in sustainability, finance,
and law. He is currently a Senior Advisor Consultant for the UN Global Compact, focusing on financial innovation and the role of CFOs, corporate investments, and corporate finance to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Jerome is also Senior Advisor for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank, working with market regulators, central banks and stock exchanges to promote environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards and sustainable finance in emerging markets. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Standards Development at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), heading the development of 79 industry-specific standards for material sustainability disclosure. Jerome started his career advising companies on corporate finance transactions, first as attorney at Shearman & Sterling and later as an investment banker at Bear Stearns. He holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and law degrees from the U.S, the Netherlands and France. He is admitted to practice law in the United States (New York).
