With leadership roles at McKinsey.org, the United Nations Foundation, and the Obama Administration's State Department, Claire Baumann brings nearly two decades of expertise in corporate, purpose and sustainability to the UN Global Compact where she leads the Sustainable Finance team and CFO Coalition for the SDGs
Benjamin Porte
Stakeholder Engagement and Program Operations
Benjamin Porte is a Sustainable Finance Consultant. His previous experience includes leading external engagement, developing ESG benchmarks, and crafting market strategies across various sectors. He has also contributed to international development projects and worked on Smart City financing strategies with the European Investment Bank. Benjamin holds a dual Master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences Po and Hertie School of Governance.
Jerome Lavigne-Delville
Senior Advisor
Jerome is an expert in global corporate sustainability and responsible investment, with over 20 years of experience in sustainability, finance, and law. He is currently a Senior Advisor Consultant for the UN Global Compact, focusing on financial innovation and the role of CFOs, corporate investments, and corporate finance to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Jerome is also Senior Advisor for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank, working with market regulators, central banks and stock exchanges to promote environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards and sustainable finance in emerging markets. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Standards Development at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), heading the development of 79 industry-specific standards for material sustainability disclosure. Jerome started his career advising companies on corporate finance transactions, first as attorney at Shearman & Sterling and later as an investment banker at Bear Stearns. He holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and law degrees from the U.S, the Netherlands and France. He is admitted to practice law in the United States (New York).
Nicolò Ciocci
Sustainable Finance Manager
Nicolò Ciocci is a Sustainable Finance Manager at the United Nations Global Compact, the biggest voluntary CSR initiative in the world. Nicolò started to work for the UN Global Compact in May 2019, being part of the team behind the publication of several papers including the one on SDG Bonds in September 2019 and on Climate-related Corporate Investments in 2024. He contributed to the birth of the CFO Taskforce for the SDGs initiative in 2019, growing from the 15 original participants to the current ones, working with real-economy corporations to issue materials for CFOs worldwide such as the CFO Principles on Integrated SDG Investments and Finance. He started his academic career at LUISS Guido Carli University, completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management in 2015. After that, he attended the ESCP Europe Business School and completed the Master in Management (MiM) programme in 2018, graduating from the ESCP Europe, the University of Turin, the City University of London and the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. During the ESCP Europe MiM, he had the chance to work in Consulting (at Porsche Consulting) and Tech (Salesforce).
Hana Churay
Coordinator
Hana Churay is a Sustainable Finance Coordinator at the UN Global Compact, where she manages community engagement and partnerships for the CFO Coalition for the SDGs. With a strong background in recruitment and retention, she previously focused on engaging with the UN Global Compact’s participants in the Middle East & Africa. Hana has been instrumental in driving digital automation, policy updates, and participant journey enhancements, significantly boosting retention rates. She also represented the UN Global Compact at major events like COP28 and Expo 2020 to support recruitment efforts.
Carleigh McFarlane
Senior Manager
Carleigh McFarlane is a Senior Manager and UNGC-PRI Liaison at the UN Global Compact. With experience in public-private partnerships and sustainable finance, Carleigh supports the CFO Coalition with strategy, operations, and high-level stakeholder engagement. She has previously worked with Ethic, the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Walt Disney Company. Carleigh also co-founded an impact-driven company focused on improving balance and reducing falls among older adults. She holds an MBA from NYU Stern.
