Describe how this investment will support the company’s targets on SDG impact
The project consists of installing a system to recover and treat part of the effluent supposedly to be discharged into River, named as Rio das Antas, in order to make it adjusted in terms of quality standards within local legislation and Danone Group requirements to then be re-sent to the factory Grade A water circuit. As result, it is going to be reduced the amount of water extracted from the River in around 50%. Also, this will reduce in around 60% the amount of effluent discharged into the same river. Important to highlight this reclaimed water will not be used as ingredient water in any recipe of our products.
